Mecca grocery is one of the asian grocery stores listed in Elgin, Illinois. The business is registered at 1016 S McLean Blvd, Elgin, IL 60123; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Elgin with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Illinois may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 10 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (224) 769-7137. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 54 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian grocery store in Elgin and suggests consistent service.

Mecca Grocery is a great spot if you’re looking to try something new. The workers were incredibly helpful and took the time to walk me through different Indian ingredients and dishes I’d never tried before. Super welcoming and well stocked.

Great place to shop with. After very long time we get fresh meat and groceries from this store.

I’ve bought ground beef from this place three or four times, and unfortunately had a bad experience. I specifically asked for thick ground beef, but they always give me very thin mince. When I called and spoke with the owner, he insisted they use a thick plate for grinding — but believe me, it’s not thick at all. The owner was also quite rude when I tried to explain. Please be cautious when buying ground beef here; they don’t actually use a thick blade as claimed.

The employees park their cars in front of the store and make it difficult for us to buy groceries because we have to park farther away. Store employees should not be parking in the front spaces. They should have consideration for the customer and leave the close parking spaces open for the customer because my wife is very pregnant. Very rude of the store. I have included of the photo of the employees car that selfishly parks in the close parking spaces that is meant for the customers. This store doesn't care that we have to park further away and carry our groceries to the car. There is no need for the employees to take the close parking spaces except that they are selfish and rude. Also the meat here is bad and smells rotten. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here because they don't care if you get sick from spoiled meat. I came here again and I see the employees are still parking in thr up close spaces meant for the customer. I don't know why they don't park away from the building and let the customers take the close up spaces. The are very selfish. There is no reason for them to park close because they are lazy and rude. I wis this store would move away or go out of business bec
